whaling was once an essential part of living. to light old roads, whale oil became fuel, cachalots seen more for the barrels they could source rather than the lives they could live.... god is wrathful when angered. and once upon a time, he did enact punishment by sea to these whalers, these harpooners. mocha dick, the whale that inspired the legend of moby dick. it was a warning.. but unheeded, even by god-fearing men.almost 200 years past his death, that whale, mocha dick. born again to a new age but in the body of a human. though he's no idea of his origin, or his purpose, for now, he lives a life of an artist attracted to the sea - searching for something beyond the horizon, something he can't quite name, for a reason he can't quite grasp.

from a neglected youth to an aimless wanderer, a lingering fear of settling down as evident as the heart on his shoulder, barley is an easy-going artist who can often be found seaside if he isn't dozing off under a dock or a tree. if not with a sketchbook, he's got something in tow - a new toy, a bag of trash, or lunch he never bothered to finish.easy to read, accommodating to every new face and friend he meets, to a point of overextension... reckless in unconventional aspects; the longer you know him, the more evident it is he doesn't value his life. and yet, he remains. mostly unscathed.
(ill figure out how to word this nicely here but this is just gonna be personality blarbs.. uhh.. tldr, strong sense of justice but doesnt really think highly of himself, mostly a pushover until it comes to something he feels very strongly about. VERY PASSIONATE. very devoted to what he loves!!! uhh very clearly searching to find someone or something to settle with even if he acts distant and aloof, something something friendly exterior but unclear interior idk.)
keeping this simple for convenience, 'kay?- MDNI for personal convenience, i prefer to ship with muns 20+. adult muses only obviously- i'm fine w/ writing difficult topics, so long as it isn't illegal or morally incorrect.- i do not give a shit about ship discourse. i care only about OC x canon stuff, take your debates elsewhere. my stance is i don't like illegal or morally incorrect ships. cool? cool. leave me alone dude. i'm too tired for this shit- don't rush me for replies. :'] i do not have consistent enough motivation to pump out reply after reply and may be selective on who i write with. don't take this personally, ok? i wouldn't follow back if i wasn't interested.- umm.. idk.. don't be weird. there is a real person behind the account and just because my muse is based on me does not mean my characters actions reflect how i feel towards you, the admin. my character responds accordingly to situations. mun does not equal muse. if you can't separate fiction from reality, dni.
hi sorry heavy wip.interact and i'll slap you here after a few encounters, okay? cool
summary stuff;
pokemon ranger: one of the top 12 rangers known as the "mythic ranger," specializing in legends, myths, and anomalies. often tasked with spearheading missions relating to legendary and mythical pokemon, as well as sacred sites. has an innate connection to arceus.
pokemon mystery dungeon: a shaymin that was once a pokemon ranger, implied to be the explorers of sky protagonist. leads a rescue team and spearheads a lot of missions to varied success. seems to be in arceus' favor.genshin impact: (reworking this one tbh my bad g.)limbus company: a pallid mermaid having regained consciousness and returned to human form after coming into contact with a relic. though not fully who he once was in his past life, he's adapting to his new normal rather well.. with only a few side effects.roblox: (tba; revising and editing)
